Reduce your impact on scenic rivers by properly disposing of litter. Bring a trash bag or pick one up at the OSRC to throw away your trash or any trash you find.

You can also join the OSRC on Sunday, September 7th for the Illinois River Clean Up! Sign up between August 19th and September 3rd by calling 918-456-3251. Volunteers must pre-register to participate.

TIPS FOR FLOATERS 


PRIVATE FLOAT PERMIT INFORMATION 

  Visitors with their own flotation devices, including canoes, kayaks, rafts, and inner tubes, may purchase private float permits at the OSRC headquarters. Day use permits are $1 per device and annual permits, which are valid from January through December, are $10 per device. Day use permits can also be purchased at the Illinois River Store, Sparrow Hawk Camp, Elephant Rock Nature Park, and Hanging Rock Camp.
